It's that time again for those "Oh So Sad Shots"

Lilly was scheduled to have her 6 month wellness last Monday, but since she was sick, we had to reschedule to have it this past Monday. This was the first well appointment that Jordan was able to take off work and go to. It was definitely nice having the support.

Lilly's pediatrician came in the room and did his regular exam. He asked us several questions and we had a list of them for him too. We asked him if was she growing enough, eating enough, meeting all the milestones that she should be meeting, will her eyes stay hazel...all of those first time mommy and daddy questions. He reassured us that Lilly was a healthy baby and gave her a clean bill of health.

Lilly loved taking her oral medication. I've heard it taste like sugar water. She held the tube thing the whole time...the nurse had to pry her little fingers off the tube. She didn't cry when she got her first shot but screamed bloody murder when she got the second one. Luckily, my daughter is a champ and only cried for a few seconds. haha She must get that tough girl trait from her daddy, because if it was me getting the shots I would have milked it for all that it was worth! haha

So...here's her 6 month stats:

Weight- 16 lbs and 14 oz (75%tile)
Height- 26.5 inches (75%tile)
Head- 17 inches around (75%tile)

Love my Rollie Pollie!

So happy daddy is here to play with me!

She loves to talk...

But her favorite thing to do while waiting at the pediatrician's office is tear and eat the paper on the patient bed!

Fun Times with Flowers and Friends

This past Tuesday, I took Lilly to the Dallas Arboretum with my friends and  their adorable babies. The moms and babies has a blast! We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch under an Oak tree then ventured out to look at all of the gorgeous flowers in bloom.

Lilly had a blast! She loved to observe every little thing she saw. She loved looking at all of the bright beautiful flowers. She was also such a big girl and sat up in her stroller the whole time. I don't think she wanted to miss a thing. Although, I think her favorite part was spending time with her buddies...especially her buddy Jake. She thought he was so interesting that she couldn't keep her eyes off him...good thing her daddy wasn't there! haha

We had such a wonderful time and the weather was just beautiful. It truly was a great day to spend the day looking at flowers and playing with friends!
This must be what a food coma looks like.

Eating lunch with the mommies.

Lilly likes to taste test lots of things...

Lilly eating a Baby Mum-Mum for the first time. Thanks, Harlen for sharing your food with Lilly!

Passed out from all of the excitement.

Time to play with my new bunny.

Guilty face haha

I like to eat my new friend when my mommy isn't looking! ;)

My friend, Mica, and I took our girls to Build-A-Bear last week for their 1/2 birthday. I know it sounds corny and over the top, but we are corny and over the top when it comes to our girls! Lilly and Harlen had a blast feeling and scoping out all of the soft textured stuffed animals...what a great learning moment (can you tell I have an education degree? haha) We let the girls touch and feel several different animals before we they made their final pick. Lilly got a cute bunny with a sweet summer dress and Harlen got the most adorable little lamb with a fun purple dress.

We had such a great time with our girls...I can only imagine how corny and over the top we will be when Lilly and Harlen have their 1st birthday! haha

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY, LILLY AND HARLEN!!!!!
